The invention relates to a sifting device with a sifting drum which is arranged rotatably and inclined in a frame, and with a charging device at the higher end of the sifting drum. In order to be able to sift even heavy, wet and sticky materials, the charging device has a worm conveyor device which is constructed so as to be integrated with the sifting drum. This worm conveyor device comprises a trough which is connected to the frame of the sifting device and in which a conveyor worm is rotatably arranged and which partially projects into the sifting drum. The conveyor worm itself is connected to the inside of the sifting drum and is rotatably arranged with its shaft in a rear wall of the trough. <IMAGE>
