PURPOSE:To improve the vibrating performance of a record player, by providing a cabinet made of an expanded metal. CONSTITUTION:A cabinet 5 is made of an expanded metal such as Fe, SuS, Pb, Ti, Ni, Al, etc. In the case of Ni, the Ni powder is mixed to a parent body like rubber that is burnt and evaporated. Thus the rubber is burnt and evaporated in a blast furnace of a high temperature, and the Ni metals are coupled to each other. In such a way, an expanded metal is obtained. The size of an air bubble 7 can be adjusted freely by setting previously the producing conditions. The mass can be adjusted also freely within a limited volume by varying the diameter of the bubble 7. Furthermore the thickness of the cabinet 5 can be increased to the same weight and in comparison with a cabinet made of a metal only. Thus the rigidity is increased, and the resonance Q is decreased owing to the use of an expanded metal. This can improve the vibrating performance of a record player. |
