The innovation relates to lamps which can simultaneously be used for other purposes as well. The lamps used for this purpose are chiefly commercially available lamps in the most manifold variations, for example, pendant, floor standard and table lamps. Loudspeakers were built into these lamps. The sound source (loudspeaker) is not visible from outside. This combination dispenses with conspicuous and also mostly disturbing loudspeakers in dwellings, lounges, restaurants etc. If a plurality of combinations are suspended or set up in a room, they can be connected to operate both in mono and in stereo. They can be controlled centrally or also decentrally. The electrical signal feed for the loudspeakers can be provided inconspicuously, in a manner similar to the power supply for the illumination. Electrical interference does not arise in this case.
