Electrophotographic method

In an electrophotographic method and a corresponding device, use is made in a magnetic-brush cleaning device of an insulating carrier which differs from the insulating carrier used in the magnetic-brush developing device. The frictional charging capacity of the carrier of the magnetic-brush cleaning device is greater than that of the carrier of the magnetic-brush developing device. The result is a substantially more thorough cleaning operation of the image carrier.
