Grades of titanium which have less formability or "workability" than grade 1 titanium are more efficiently used in fabricating expanded mesh articles by employing expander dies which provide expanded slit openings wherein the long way dimension/short way dimension (LWD/SWD) ratio of the openings is at least about 2.5, preferably at least about 2.7. |
