PURPOSE:To obtain the connection part having small electric resistance and an excellent reliability in mechanical strength for the titled magnet by a method wherein aluminum, as a stabilizing material for a superconductive wire, is connected using TIG welding having low heat input. CONSTITUTION:The superconductive strand 14, wherein a superfine wire of Nb- Ti alloy was buried in the copper of the same volume as the superfine wire, is covered by a high purity aluminum stabilizing material. A cooling pipe 13 is the jig, which is used to connect the above, and the deterioration of the superconductive strand 14 due to the penetrated head generated when a welding work is performed, is prevented by said pipe 13. A deposition part 11 is provided by performing a TIG welding on the upper part of the aluminum stabilizing material 12 while the cooling pipe is being pressed by appropriate force F. Through these procedures, a highly reliable connection part having low electric resistance and sufficiently high mechanical strength can be obtained. |
