The novel device for media separation, especially of drinking liquid and air, in containers, barrels or the like, with at least one removal opening and at least one air inlet opening, is characterised in that a sufficiently large flexible foil covering is pressed out of the device by hand into the inner space during removal of drinking liquid or is sucked into the inner space by the resulting underpressure, so that the ambient air flowing in remains permanently separated from the drinking liquid by the flexible foil covering and thus longer preservability is achieved.
