Heretofore, the loops for the transport of meat were made with a string which was passed through the meat of which the end was suspended to a hook. The industrial treatment of this type of transport loops creates frequent and serious problems of the knotting machine caused by clogging upon passage of the loop through the meat. The transport loop according to the invention is made of relatively resistant and smooth plastic material and the lower portion of the loop has at least one lateral protuberant support portion (10), so that an independent passage of the loop portion and a subsequent connection of both portions are not required anymore. To this aim, the support portion (10) is integrally connected to the upper portion (5) of the loop and is arranged into a rigid element perpendicular to the main direction of the loop so as to prevent any sliding of the loop through the meat, respectively outside the meat.
