A ventilation and air-conditioning installation for producing an individual climate in the region of the respective work place (1; 1') contains, in each case arranged between room ceiling (2, 3) and work place (1; 1'), box-shaped suspension elements (10; 10') with at least one air outlet for the incoming air which is supplied in the region of the ceiling installation space (2). As the suspension element (10; 10') can be arranged at a considerably smaller distance above the work place (1; 1') than the room ceiling (2, 3), each work place can be individually air-conditioned without this individual climate being influenced by the ventilation and air-conditioning state in the rest of the room. <IMAGE>
