发明名称 MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 PURPOSE:To realize a magnetic recording medium which decreases frictional force without deteriorating electromagnetic conversion characteristics by coating the film of fluorine carbide polymers on a thin metallic film type magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A thin film of cobalt having 1,000Angstrom thickness is formed on a polyethylene terephthalate substrate having 12mum thickness. The coercive force of the thin film is 750Oe and the residual magnetic flux density 8,500G. Treating liquid is coated on the thin film of cobalt by a dip coating method. The coating material is mixed liquid of a dilute soln. prepd. by dissolving fluorine contg. polymer resins in a fluorine contg. solvent such as ''Freon '' and amorphous polytetrafluoroethylene of <=5,000, more typically about 3,500mol.wt. which is dispersed in ''Freon ''. Since the component resins, polymers and solvent of said treating material are all fluorine materials, said material infilters into the extremely fine recesses of the electromicroscopic scale on the surface of the magnetic medium and the spaces among the fine crystal grains by making best use of the low surface energy characteristic which is the characteristic of fluorine compds.
