The invention relates to a device for producing a wind-round yarn, which contains a driven hollow spindle, through which the covered wind-round yarn is drawn off. The outlet end of the hollow spindle has a narrowing, in order to prevent a balloon of the wind-round yarn from forming between the end of the hollow spindle and the following draw-off device for the wind-round yarn.
