Method and recording plate for producing electrophotographic images

The invention relates to a method and a recording plate (3) for producing electrophotographic images. The latter are generally obtained by exposing an electrically charged plate (3) and subsequently developing with the aid of an ink pigment (toner). In this process, it is to be prevented that charges flow off at the edges of the photograph and thus that the image becomes impaired. The invention provides for the purpose of improvement in this respect that at least during development the photograph is surrounded by an electrically conductive frame (12) which is kept at least approximately at the potential of the image surface. The recording plate can also be provided permanently with such a frame (12), which is set at the matching potential during the developing operation. Recording plates according to the invention are particularly suitable for use in medical X-ray diagnostics. <IMAGE>
