In this valve, which is suitable especially for metering the mixture and quantity of hot water and cold water, a disc is provided as the valve device parallel to the centre axis, which disc can be moved by an actuating element and rests against two discs which are held in a fixed position in the valve and are each provided with an inlet opening and an outlet opening. The quantity and mixture are controlled by a perforation which is constructed in the disc, together with the inlet openings in the discs, while the outlet openings in each valve position are covered by the perforation. An axial displacement of the disc results in a synchronous change in the flow cross-sections in the region of the two inlet openings and is used to determine the total flow quantity. Twisting of the disc about a rotation point in the foot of the sleeve results in one inlet opening being increasingly covered and the other inlet opening being correspondingly opened, so that the mixture ratio is varied without changing the total flow quantity. Tongues can be provided in the region of the perforation and of the inlet openings, as the covering means.
