PURPOSE:To obtain an immobilized colorless metallic ion donor, exerting no unfavorable effect on a photosensitive material, without transaference and having high speed of a ligand exchange reaction with a dye, by using a specified chelating agent and metallic ions. CONSTITUTION:A layer contg. a photosensitive silver halide and a dye donor present in an inseparable state, a dye image receiving layer contg. a dye mordant, and a layer contg. a metal complex compd. composed of polyvalent metal ions, such as copper (II) or nickel (II) ions and a compd. represented by general formula (I) are laminated on a support to form a photographic element. In formula (I), Ball is a ballasting group having many carbon atoms enough to immobilize the compd. in an alkaline processing soln.; J is a divalent bond group; A is a group having a site capable of forming a complex by the coordinate bond with the polyvalent ions; l is 1 or 2; m is 0, 1, or 2; and n is 1 or 2. |
