Compounds of the formula <CHEM> wherein A is optionally substituted phenyl, naphthyl, pyridyl, furyl, thienyl, benzyl or phenoxy; W1 is O or S; R20 is H or CH3; X and Y are selected from various organic groups, or X may be Cl; Z is CH or N; and their agriculturally suitable salts, exhibit herbicidal and plant growth regulant effects. The compounds may be formulated for use in conventional manner. They may be made e.g. by reacting an appropriate sulfonyl isocyanate or isothiocyanate of formula ASO2NCW1 with an appropriate aminopyrimidine or aminotriazine. |
