PURPOSE:To dispense with a both-side-adhesive tape or the like and facilitate the winding of a sheet, by bending back the front end of the wound sheet onto its outside and winding the sheet to cover the bent-back part. CONSTITUTION:After the front end of a chopped strand mat 1 made of fiberglass is bitten in between a paper tube 4 and a feed roller 10, the front end of the mat is moved along the inside surfaces of a guide plate 9 and an intermediate guide plate 11 as the mat proceeds. After the front end of the mat 1 has passed the intermediate guide plate 11, the front end is moved straight. When the front end A moved straight has protruded by L from the part of the paper tube 4 facing a chute 5, a folder 13 is swung toward the paper tube so that the front part A is brought into contact with the paper tube and a portion B of the part A is bent back onto the outside of the mat 1. The bent-back portion B is pinched between the paper tube 4 and the mat 1 on the chute 5 so that the mat is put into tight contact with the paper tube. |
