PURPOSE:To manufacture Oldham's couplings in quantities by manufacturing an annular plate and pawl members that constitute an Oldham's coupling separately and fixing the pawl members to the annular member by stud welding or air resistance welding. CONSTITUTION:A thin steel plate is blanked by press working and a thin annular member 91 is manufactured. On the other hand pawl members 92 are worked by a milling machine up to finishing. Then, pawl members 92 for fitting bearing and fitting oscillating scroll are fixed to the member 91 by stud welding or air resistance welding such as projection welding. In stud welding or air resistance welding, current is let flow to the members 91, 92, and an arc is generated only between the joint planes to cause local melting. Accordingly, distortion due to heating hardly occurs in the members 91, 92, and additional working after welding is not required. Thus, Oldham's couplings suitable for mass production can be obtained. |
