<p>: The present invention relates to an improvement in magnetic recording tape cassettes. A magnetic recording tape cassette is provided comprising a bottom case and a top case assembled with the bottom case to provide a tape chamber. One or more tape roll members are mounted in the tape chamber. Each tape role member includes a hub with a top projection for pivoting the hub. Each tape role member is mounted on a bottom wall of the bottom case and a magnetic recording tape is wound on the hub. A resilient spring member is fixed to the under surface of a top wall of the top case and has one or more arms, the free ends of which extend to the top projection of the corresponding hubs to resiliently, rotatably support the hubs. The improvement comprises a recess defined in the under surface of the top wall of the top case for accommodating a fixed part of the spring member. The recess has a depth substantially equal to or larger than the thickness of the spring member. The recess extends to at least a position corresponding to the maximum diameter of the tape roll member from a position where the spring member is fixed.</p> |
