PURPOSE:To reduce fuel cut shock by reducing hysteresis in applying brake when a throttle valve is fully closed and fuel is cut in the rotational frequency of an engine higher than the rotational frequency of fuel return plus hysteresis. CONSTITUTION:An air fuel ratio control circuit 50 is provided which determines the basic fuel injection time according to the outputs of an intake amount sensor 16 and a rotational speed sensor 46 while correcting said time according to the outputs of an O2 sensor 32, cooling water temperature sensor 38, etc. to prepare valve opening time signals for controlling an injection 28. In this case when a throttle valve 22 is closed and the rotational frequency of an engine is higher than the rotational frequency of fuel return plus hysteresis, said valve opening time signal is made zero to cut fuel. Then when a brake pedal 38 is pressed on or vehicle speed is at least a set one, control is carried out to make said hysteresis small and reduce the rotational frequency of fuel return. |
