<p>66ST-220 A process for the continuous manufacture of diorganopolysiloxane polymers. The polymerization reaction takes place in a static mixer wherein dimethyl cyclic polysiloxane monomers are treated with a potassium silanolate catalyst. Efficiency of the static mixer is maintained by the early introduction of water chainstopper which effectively provides for a plug flow condition within the polymerizer section. Preparation of others polysiloxane fluids utilizing triorganosiloxy chainstopper is also disclosed.</p> |
