PURPOSE:To prevent an exhaust manifold or the like from thermal deformation by escaping constitutionally the thermal deformation produced in both left and right side exhaust manifolds with planer slide in a connection flanges of connecting pipes interconnecting both exhaust manifolds. CONSTITUTION:One manifold 12 is mounted on a cylinder head so that branch pipes 12A communicate respectively to a plurality of cylinders. The other manifold 13 approximately parallel to said manifold 12 is provided with combined branch pipes 12B for combining exhaust from the manifold 13 to form an aggregate 12C. And the manifold 13 and the combined branch pipes 12B are interconnected through connecting pipes 14. Also, the contact surfaces of a flange 15a of the manifold 13 and a flange 15B of the connecting pipe 14 are orthogonal to those of a flange 16A of the connecting pipe 14 and a flange 16B of the branch pipe 12B and the former is orthogonal to the parallel axes of the manifolds 12, 13 and the latter parallel to same. |
