PURPOSE:To heighten the hermetically sealing property of a gap sealing portion without deteriorating the performance of a battery, to increase the resistance to the leaking of liquid, by using an electrically insulating seal made of a double-structured resin material whose inner portion is made of a resin of high mechanical strength and whose surface portion is made of a resin resistant to an electrolytic solution. CONSTITUTION:In a sealed battery, electricity generation elements are housed in a battery container composed of a positive and a negative electrode cans 1, 2 and an electrically insulating seal 6 which electrically insulates the cans from each other and is a doublestructured resin material whose inner portion is made of a resin of high mechanical strength and whose surface portion is made of a resin resistant to an electrolytic solution. A positive electrode 2 employing manganese dioxide as an active material is in pressure contact with the inside bottom of the positive electrode can 1. A negative electrode 4 made of a lithium plate is press-attached to the inside bottom of the negative electrode can 3. The inner portion 6a of the electrically insulating seal 6 which electrically insulates the positive and the negative electrode cans 1, 3 from each other is made of polyamide 66 of high mechanical strength, and the surface portion 6b of the seal is made of polypropylene resistant to the electrolytic solution, so that the seal has a double structure. The seal 6 is manufactured by different- material injection molding. |
