The invention relates to fuel systems for internal combustion engines utilising petrol and any other vehicle fuels having a multi-fraction composition as fuel, in particular a fuel delivery device for an internal combustion engine working with vaporisation of injected fuel, comprising an induction passage 7 and an exhaust passage 5, a vaporising element 1 having a first section 1-a which is arranged to be heated by the heat of exhaust gases flowing through the exhaust passage 5, a second section 1-b with an operating surface 8 disposed in the induction passage 7 and forming part of the wall of the induction passage, and an injection nozzle 9 for injecting fuel, said nozzle being directed with its orifice towards the operating surface 8 of the vaporising element 1, characterised in that the operating surface 8 of the vaporising element 1 extends from the first section of the vaporising element 1-a at least to a diametrically opposite portion of the induction passage 7, whereby the orifice of the injection nozzle 9 is directed towards this part situated farthest away from the first section 1-a of the vaporising element 1, and as near to parallel with the tangent of the said surface as possible. <IMAGE> |
