PURPOSE:To simplify preparatory planning jobs and measuring jobs by providing an origin block which is mounted at the point of intersection of optional grooves of a square grooved surface plate, and determines the reference measuring position of a layout machine and a data processing unit for measuring coordinates. CONSTITUTION:An origin block 5 and a data processing unit 6 are provided in addition to a square grooved surface plate 1 and a layout machine 2. The block 5 is provided with orthogonally intersecting projecting lines 8a, 8b at one end of a body 7 and blocks 9a, 9b disposed at intersectional angles at the other end. When the lines of the block 5 are fitted into the point of intersection of optional grooves of the plate 1, the blocks 9a, 9b coincide with both vertical and horizontal grooves with the point of intersection when viewed flatly as a center, thus the block can position the reference measuring position of the machine 2. The unit 6 is inputted with the measuring coordinate values by the machine 2 and processes the same in accrdance with the programs of predetermined measuring items including the changing items for coordinate axes and directions by the change in the moving direction of the machine 2, thus the measured values are determined easily even if the positions and shapes of the measuring object 4 are intricate. |
