PURPOSE:To provide a lubricating oil compsn. exhibiting excellent wear resistance when used in freon compressor, by adding a specified organosulfur compd. to a base oil. CONSTITUTION:A lubricating oil for freon compressor is obtd. by blending 2,2'- dithiobisbenzothiazole of formulaIand/or a di(4-hydroxy-3,5-dialkyl-benzyl) sulfide of formula II (wherein R1, R2 are each a 1-4C alkyl) to a lubricating base oil composed of at least one member selected from a mineral oil, an alkylbenzene and a synthetic oil. When used in freon compressor, the lubricating oil exhibits excellent wear resistance. |
