JUNCTION CONE OF PLANE LOUDSPEAKER

PURPOSE:To reduce the resonance peak without lowering the high band limit frequency of a plane loudspeaker, by forming a sheet of 4-methylpentene polymer into a cone to obtain a junction cone of the plane loudspeaker. CONSTITUTION:A sheet of 4-methylpentene polymer is softened with heat and then press-molded into a cone to obtain a junction cone 6. For this cone 6, the opening part is adhered to a nodal circle part in the primary resonance mode of a plane diaphragm 1 and the neck part is adhered to a voice coil bobbin 5. The cone 6 is also held by a frame 3 via a damper 7 to effect a piston motion. With such cone 6 the resonance peak can be reduced without lowering the high band limit frequency for a plane speaker.
