PURPOSE:To easily obtain a multigradation recording image by controlling quantity of heat energy according to the density level of each image information and controlling the flying quantity of ink according to the quantity of heat energy. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic field forming means 6 forming a predetermined electrostatic field between the surface of ink 3 and a recording sheet 5 and a heating control means 7 for controlling the quantity of heat energy to a heating means 4 according to the density level of image information are mounted. The heating means 4 is constituted of a heat generator array formed by arranging heat generating resistors 21 on a pixel basis and the heat generating resistors 21 are arranged to one side surface opening edge of a slit-shaped space part and a pair of current supply electrodes 22 are respectively connected to each heat generating resistor 21. Switching elements 23 subjected to opening/ closing operation according the control signal from the heating control means 7 are connected between current supply electrodes 22. |
