PURPOSE:To provide the titled automatic exchanging device for heating cylinder unit whose unit can be exchanged rapidly and easily, by a method wherein a support arm, having a grasping mechanism for grasping the heating cylinder units at opposite ends, is vertically movably and rotatably moved. CONSTITUTION:A support arm 70 is turned by 90 deg. from a waiting position by an actuator 83, and if grasping mechanisms 74 and 75 grasp a collar 28, locate pins 74c and 75c extend downward by cylinders 74a and 75d, and the mechanisms 74 and 75 firmly grasp two units U. A chuck part of a used unit and a screw base part are released from engagement with each other, with a cylinder 78 actuated, the two units are raised to a given position, a preliminary unit is brought to right above a bracket mating part through rotation by 180 deg. of the support arm 70 by means of the actuator 83, and the preliminarily unit U is secured to a jet bracket through contraction of the cylinder 78 to engage the chuck part with the screw part. The pins 74c and 75c are retracted by the cylinders 74d and 75d, and the arm 70 is returned back to a waiting position by the actuator 83 to complete an exchanging operation. |
