A scanning system analyses each image of the film by scanning it, and converting the result into a video electric signal for each of the three primary colours. The signals from each of three successive images are recorded in three memories, each having three subdivisions to record the respective primary colours of each image. The recorded images are read from the memories, and compared and then corrections are applied to compensate for the erasure of parts of the image in the frame. A scanninq beam then is projected through the film to form an image on the safety film with faults corrected. The arrangement permits the phase shifts between successive images, caused by the wear on side perforations, to be corrected in one operation for all three colours.
|
