PURPOSE:To record and reproduce signals securely by forming a disk having relief pits and a guide groove 2 which are one-eight as deep as the wavelength of light in use and changing reference voltages corresponding to the relief pits and guide groove. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 3 is made into a reproduced recording medium having a groove which is one-eighth as deep as the wavelength of light in use, a signal (a) is obtained from a relief pit part 1, a signal (b) from an unrecorded part of the guide groove 2, and a signal (c) is obtained from a recorded part. The relief pit part 1 is applied with a reference signal (e) which varies to a signal value (g), and the guide groove part is also applied with a reference signal (e) which varies to a signal value (d). Then, an address signal is obtained from the relief pit part 1 and a recorded signal is obtained from the guide groove 2 efficiently. Thus, a disk which is manufactured easily and simply is used to perform accurate recording and reproducing operation. |
