摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To efficiently execute decomposition of heavy oil and production of hydrogen, by combusting coke attached to catalyst with a heated gas contg. oxygen deficient to perfectly combust it, and reducing and regenerating iron oxide contained in the catalyst. CONSTITUTION:Iron oxide-contg. catalyst with coke attached by decomposition of heavy oil is delivered through a delivery pipe 2 to the second step 1. A heated gas contg. oxygen deficient to perfectly combust the coke is supplied through a pipe 3 to combust it in a reducing atm. and reduce the iron oxide. This gas has been heated to 350-650 deg.C by exchanging heat with 750-950 deg.C exhaust gas produced from combustion of coke in a heat exchanger 4. The reduced and regenerated catalyst is delivered through delivery pipes 9, 10 to the next step, thus permitting decomposition of heavy oil and production of hydrogen to be efficiently carried out.</p>
