<p>Parent patent described a fermentation plant fed with fermentable waste to produce a biogas contg. methane. In this addn., a single tank is provided with a perforated partition to form a chamber (a) for the treatment of solids, and a chamber (b) for the treatment of dil. substrates. The inlet to chamber (a) is pref. fed with fermentation juice, and contains a chopper, mill or mixer, so a mixt. of solid waste and juice is fed into chamber (a). Chamber (a) is pref. located above chamber (b), which contains a bucket elevator lifting the juice up to a reservoir situated above chamber (a) and below a gasometer receiving the fuel gas. Size and wt. of the plant are reduced so it is portable and easy to maintain, and the CH4 content of the fuel gas is increased.</p> |
