PURPOSE:To realize a lightweight tone arm with improved strength by coating the external circumference of an arm pipe made of foamed metal with synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:After Ni powder is mixed, a base material which vaporizes by being burnt, such as rubber, is burnt in a high temperature melting furnace to vaporize rubber and thus mtals are combined together to form a pipelike foamed metal 6. In this case, the size of each foam 7 is suitably about 1mum-1mm. and the foamed metal uses, for example, Fe, SuS, Ti, and Al. Then, the external circumference is coated with synthetic resin 8 to obtain a tone arm. Consequently, the tone arm is lightweight and has large strength, and its resonance Q is reduced to improve oscillation characteristics. |
