PURPOSE:To facilitate the manufacture of a magnetic head and to reduce its cost by providing magnetic paths in such a way that they cross mutually at right angles on an upper and a lower side of a coil winding area, namely extend along conductors of coils. CONSTITUTION:While a core blank material is punched, an L-shaped through hole, a through hole which specifies track width 23 with said through hole and constitutes a coil winding window 24, and a through hole 75 where a stator 61 runs are formed. Upper areas of said through holes constitute a magnetic notch part. Backup materials 41 and 42 are equipped with winding holes 43 facing coil windows 24 of core half bodies 21 and 22, and a through hole 44 succeeding to the through hole 75. An energizing coil 51 utilizes the winding holes 43 of the backup members 41 and 42 extending in a track extending direction 46. Then, balanced winding is performed so that the section of a coil crosses the working gap constitution surfaces of the core half bodies at right angles. |
