PURPOSE:To increase the bouyancy force of a platform by providing a storage tank set between upper and lower bodies in such a way as to be vertically and slidably supported by legs connecting the upper and lower bodies and a mechanism by which to detachably attach the storage tank to the lower body. CONSTITUTION:An oil storage tank 4 set between upper and lower bodies in such a way as to be vertically guided by legs 3 connecting the upper and lower bodies 1 and 2 and a connecting mechanism (not illustrated) consisting of bolt, nut, etc., by which to detachably attach the tank 4 to the lower body are provided. By this, during the towing period of the platform, the vacant oil storage tank 4 is fixed to the lower body 2 by means of the connecting mechanism and they are used as a float, whereby obtaining sufficient buoyancy force. Thus, the platform on which deck and various modules, etc., are mounted can be towed. |
