PURPOSE:To use plural serial inputs/outputs as if they were independent of each other with the use of just a single serial input/output controller, by using a serial input/output switch means containing an information table for serial input/output. CONSTITUTION:When a user cartridge SIO 6 is used, a serial input/output switch control means 7 is called out and checks the present serial input/output state to compare it with the input/output state newly designated. Then the means 7 stores the changes of those input/output states if detected and extracts the corresponding communication information out of a serial information table 8 to obtain the serial input/output position. The SIO 6 is designated to a serial input/output control switch 22 based on the designation of the position of said serial input/output. At the same time, the state of a serial input/output controller 1 is regulated by other communication information. Thus the switch 22 operates a serial circuit controller 21 to secure the direct connection between the input/ output data 3 and the SIO 6. Hereafter the input/output of data 3 is possible between the SIO 6 and an input or output buffer 14 or 11. Thus the transmission/reception is carried out by means of the SIO 6. So is with others. |
