PURPOSE:To enable a flash fixing toner to efficiently absorb IR light, to be easily fixed even in the case of using a toner binding resin high in softening point, and not to cause blocking or the like during storage, by adding a specified merocyanine dye to the toner. CONSTITUTION:A toner is formed by adding coloring additives, such as carbon black, and a merocyanine dye represented by the formula shown to a fundamental resin of polystyrene or epoxy resin or the like having 50-200 deg.C softening point. Said dye is added by 5-50wt% of the total wt. of toner, thus permitting absorption of IR light to be remarkably enhanced, a toner contg. a resin high in softening point to be easily flash fixed, and said toner to cause no blocking during storage and no filming phenomenon on a photoreceptor or the like. |
