PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect the surface distribution of particles visually, by arranging the model under test on which a bonding agent is applied on its surface in a wind tunnel, and attaching the particle shaped material which is diffused by an air stream from upstream to the model under test. CONSTITUTION:Buildings 2 and a topographic model 3, on which the bonding agent 4 is applied, are arranged in a measuring chamber 6 in the wind tunnel. Then the particles 5 are delivered from a chimney 1 into the measuring chamber 6. Then, the particles 5 are flowed by the tunnel air stream 7 and sink due to the gravity effect. Finally, the particles are bonded to the bonding agent on the surface of the buildings 2 and the topographic model 3. After a specified time, the delivery of the particles 5 is stopped. Thereafter, the surface is photographed, or the bonding agent 4 is stripped away from the required parts of the surface and the number of the particles is measured. Thus the measurement can be performed qualitatively and quantitavely. |
