The solid fuel jet has a combustion chamber (1) fed with air and a gas generator (3) having a solid propergol (4) containing a reducing substance, an oxidiser and a metallic substance in the form of alloy particles. The particles form, by autopyrolysis, a gaseous reducing mixture containing the metallic particles. An injector (5) delivers the gaseous mixture containing solid particles to the combustion chamber. The injector is actuated to direct its discharge onto the solid mineral particles.
