PURPOSE:To float a turntable during normal rotation, to reduce resonance, and to reduce its size, by forming a spiral groove in a rotating disk or recessed part of a fixing part, and filling the gap between the rotating disk and recessed part with oil. CONSTITUTION:In a reception part 12 fitted to a fixing part 11 provided to a record player cabinet, a sectionally circular recessed part 12a is formed. In this recessed part, a rotating disk 13 having the same diameter with its internal diameter is fitted so that it can contact and leave the recessed part, and a turntable 14 is mounted thereupon. A spiral groove 16 is formed in the surface of the rotating disk 13 on the recessed part side. The gap between the rotating disk and recessed part is filled with oil from a communicating path 21, which is blocked. As the turntable 14 turns, the oil is guided through the groove 16 to gather in the center of the recessed part 12a, and its pressure rises to float the turntable at a prescribed height. |
