PURPOSE:To remove foam from highly viscous liquid with high efficiency by supplying the highly viscous liquid contg. foam in the sloped inside surface of a funnel-shaped rotor which revolves at a high speed in a vacuum. CONSTITUTION:A funnel-shaped centrifugal separating rotor 1 having 1/100-1/2 angle of taper is rotated at a high speed by a motor 9 in a vacuum casing 5, and liquid of high viscosity contg. foam is supplied from the preceding end of a supply pipe 4. The highly viscous liquid is made into thin films uniformly by the inside surface of the rotor 1, and foam is expanded by a vacuum and is removed from the liquid. The foam is released through the outlet 6 connected to a vacuum generator. The defoamed highly viscous liquid is discharged by centrifugal forces to the inside surface of the casing 5, is scraped in the lower part of the casing 5 by a scraper 2 and is removed through a discharge port 7 by the revolution of a screw 3. |
