<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the separation of microbic membranes on the surfaces of contact filter media and the clogging of filter media, by providing aerating zones between the treating zones formed by sandwiching plural pieces of multitublar contact filter media disposed at suitable intervals in the longitudinal direction in a tank body with perforated partition plates. CONSTITUTION:Water to be treated in introduced into a tank body 11 through the inflow route 15 at the front end of the body 11, and in an aerating zone A1, oxygen is supplied thereto by an aerating means 13A. This water is admitted through a partition plate 14A into a treating zone T1. In the zone T1, the water to be treated passes through the pipelines of contact filter media 12A and contacts microbe membranes, by which BOD is removed. Thereafter the water to be treated passes through the aerating zones A2, A3, A4 and treating zones T2, T3, T4 alternately to receive aerating treatments and biological treatments alternately. The treated water arrives at the terminal of the body 11. Part of the water to be treated is pumped 16 through a reflux route 17 and the rest is settled and removed of flocs in a settling tank 18 and is then released. Part of the precipitates in the tank 18 are returned as return sludge through a course 19, and the rest are discharged.</p> |
