PURPOSE:To obtain a cell for liquid crystal display elements having high reliability by using a prescribed principle agent, a curing agent fillers and coupling agents as a resin sealant for oriented substrates. CONSTITUTION:The sealant prepd. by adding 5 parts (by weight) an imidazole type curing agent to a principle agent prepd. by dissolving 3-20 parts condensate deriv. of B-sorbitol and benzaldehyde to 100 parts glycidyl ether-bisphenol type epoxy resin and adding 20 parts zirconium silicate, talc, silica and other inorg. fillers as fillers and 1 part a silane coupler thereto is used as the resin sealant for oriented substrates and are treated for 1.5hr under heating at 80 deg.C, 1hr at 150 deg.C and 1.5hr at 210 deg.C, whereby the sealants are cured. Liquid crystals are injected into the cell adhered with two sheets of the substrates by the above-mentioned sealants and the injection port is sealed, whereby the liquid crystal display element having excellent reliability is obtained. |
