A substrate for vehicle trim comprises surface paper sheets and a core material bonded to each other by thermoplastic adhesives impregnated with a heat curing agent comprising a urethane type prepolymer which cures at a temperature lower than the melting point of the thermoplastic adhesives. Impregnation of the heat curing agent can improve the mechanical strength of the substrate, prevent the deformation of the substrate even in long use and, particularly, render the substrate water- repellent thus being free from softening due to water or moisture content. |
