A sole for sport shoes consists of plastic or a technically equivalent material, with screwed-in, interchangeable grip elements such as e.g. spikes, studs or the like, which with a threaded pin engage in each case in a recess of the sole. The grip elements have in each case a pin with self-cutting thread which engages directly in the sole material surrounding the sole recess. By virtue of a sport-shoe sole of such design, the previously necessary metal thread inserts and the manufacturing and cost outlay associated therewith are rendered superfluous. By virtue of the omission of the metal thread inserts, the weight of the sole is moreover significantly reduced.
