In addition to the guide grooves (2) which are oriented in pairs on contact strips (16), the retaining frame in each case has a pair of grooves (3) by means of which a guide plane is fixed in the free space above the supporting plate (1). The printed-circuit boards (4) can be fixed therein either by means of a direct electrical connection or - for the purpose of relieving the mechanical stress on the contact points during transportation of the apparatus - in an exclusively mechanical holder. The invention can be used in switching terminal boxes for telephone private branch exchanges. <IMAGE>
