An operationally movable machine element (1) with an electric elapsed-time meter (2) is shown and described, the elapsed-time meter (2) having a timer, a movement indicator, an elapsed-time memory and an indicating unit. To reduce the possibility of manipulation of the elapsed-time meter (2) of the machine element (1), the elapsed-time meter (2) exhibits an integrated power supply. As a result, the elapsed-time meter (2) can be easily used in a receiver (9) of the machine element (1) itself. <IMAGE>
