Buffer arrangement for a vehicle suitable for road operation and railway operation, in which the necessary buffers are rigidly constructed in order to allow for the different masses of the driving road vehicle and the rail vehicles to be driven and are arranged on a buffer plate which is swivellable about a perpendicular axis and itself is resiliently bounded in its swivel range. Rubber plates can be arranged between the buffer and the buffer plate as damping or suspension elements. <IMAGE>
