An electrical power supply device, especially for three-phase alternators, having a brush holder and at least one sliding brush which is guided longitudinally therein and whose end surface of its end section projecting out of the brush holder rests on the cylindrical circumferential surface of a slipring which rotates in operation and is subject to the pressure of a helical spring, which pressure is directed at least approximately radially with respect to the rotation axis of the slipring, and which helical spring is supported on one side against the rearward end of the sliding brush and at the other end is supported against that end section of the brush holder which is remote from the slipring, the rearward end (15) in the rotation direction (14) of the slipring (4, 5) being inclined obliquely against the slipring. <IMAGE>
