An adjustable belt pulley with two pulley discs which are seated on a hub, revolve about its axis, accommodate a belt between them and can be displaced axially relative to one another by an adjusting device, springs or the like, should be economical to manufacture and the forces which occur are to be kept as small as possible and distributed over areas of in each case varying size. This is achieved here by virtue of the fact that, to transmit the torque to the hub (1) at least one of the pulley discs (2, 3) has coupling members (6, 7) outside the hub surface on the side facing away from the belt (4) and these coupling members engage in axially displaceable fashion in corresponding mating coupling members (9) arranged in torsionally rigid fashion on the hub (1) and extending beyond the surface of the latter. <IMAGE>
